“There are prerequisites that are required to take the OSHA 500 trainer course. First you need to have at least 5 years of safety supervision and experience. Also, you will need to have the OSHA 510 certification. The 500 will give me the ability to teach the OSHA 10- and 30-hour classes and certify workers where needed. To maintain the trainer certification every 4 years you will need to renew your certification. I myself once I seen the effects of how unsafe workers are I decided that if I can one day teach them the OSHA regulations it would ensure that my jobs would be safer.” Jacob’s achievement empowers him to train and certify our workforce, further enhancing our safety culture. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards are critical in the construction industry, and having certified trainers on staff ensures we exceed these requirements.
